The Police say they have taken note of media reports alleging that a group of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters stormed the New Patriotic Party office at Abeka in the Okaikwei Central Constituency over suspicions of voting taking place at the said location.
The Police say their investigations have revealed that the place is not a polling station and no voting is taking place at the said office. "We urge the public to disregard this claim and partner the Police as we work towards avoiding misinformation and disinformation during this critical time and beyond," a statement said.
Earlier, the Police also announced the arrest of an Electoral Commission (EC) official at Kintampo South Constituency in the Bono East Region, for electoral offences during the ongoing general elections.
