The founder and leader of the Christ Reminders New Church, Apostle Daniel Adu Asare, has urged the two main political parties to be concerned about the high rate of corruption in the country. He said the numerous corruption scandals involving some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) under the 4th republic was overwhelming, and must be dealt with. Speaking at the 50th anniversary celebration of the church in Accra, last Sunday, Apostle Asare said Ghana would continue to retrogress when politicians who were voted to serve continue to steal without being punished. He said no country had been able to progress and make their citizens enjoy better livelihoods when the national resources were mismanaged and embezzled by the political class. "What are the two main political parties doing about this menace as we head towards another general election to elect a new President and Parliamentarians? They must show Ghanaians through their manifestoes how they are going to address the menace, as their effort over the years has been minimal," Apostle Asare said.
