The Chief Executive Officer of the Middle Belt Development Authority (MBDA), Joseph Kumah Mackay, has lost his bid to represent the people of Sene West Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Joseph Kumah Mackay was highly tipped to snatch the seat from the incumbent NDC MP, Kwame Ampofo Twumasi, considering that he put up a good show and lost the election by 16 votes to the same contender in 2020 but that did not materialise.
Joseph Kumah Mackay secured 13,362 votes, while his other competitor, Kwame Ampomfo Twumasi, polled 13,824 votes to emerge victorious.
Results from the various constituencies are being announced following the counting and collation of votes at the various polling and collation centres across the country.
