Presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has issued a stern warning to military personnel allegedly involved in acts of violence and disruption during the ongoing collation of  parliamentary election results.

In a social media post sighted by Ameyaw Debrah Media, John Mahama wrote, "My attention has been drawn to the violent activities of some unscrupulous military personnel, deployed to cause mayhem and disrupt the declaration of parliamentary results in some constituencies.

This is to caution the personnel involved that they will be held individually liable and responsible for their actions." The statement comes amidst heightened tension as collation continues across constituencies following Saturday's elections.

Results from various polling stations and collation centres are trickling in, with projections favoring the National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by John Mahama.Early indications from several constituencies suggest Mahama is leading in the presidential race, with his party performing strongly in parliamentary contests.
