Officials of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have petitioned the Electoral Commission (EC) to suspend the collation of results in the Ejura Sekyeredumase Constituency, alleging foul play.
They are demanding a total recount of ballot papers from all 177 polling centers.
Speaking to the media at the collation center in Ejura Sekyeredumase, NPP officials claimed that the voting process was riddled with errors.
They noted that the EC had acknowledged some of these mistakes, leading the party to reject the current results. "The elections in Ejura, which were supposed to be free and fair, have been fraught with many errors, some of which the EC has admitted.
