A shooting incident on December 7, 2024, in Kasoa Zongo, located in the Awutu Senya East Constituency, has left one person injured.
The victim, a driver for a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), was shot in the thigh during a misunderstanding among voters.
Eyewitnesses reported that the suspect, identified as Mujaheed Sujag (also known as Mims), fired a pump-action gun twice, aiming at the NDC constituency chairman but missing and hitting the victim instead.
Sujag had reportedly threatened individuals in the area, claiming to have acquired a gun for use during the elections.
