Tensions flared at the English and Arabic polling station in the Chiana-Paga constituency, located in the Kasena/Nankana district of the Upper East Region.

The confrontation involved members of the two leading political parties, the (NPP) and the (NDC).

According to reports, the altercation began after the parliamentary candidates of both parties failed to comply with a directive issued by the Electoral Commission (EC).

The EC had instructed candidates to cast their votes promptly and leave the polling station to maintain order and fairness.
