The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has assured all stakeholders in the December 7 elections that its personnel will not be deployed to any polling station.

According to GAF, the personnel will only serve as a standby force. "GAF wishes to reiterate that no military personnel will be stationed at any polling station.

GAF's presence will be limited to standby support, with the primary responsibility for election security remaining with the Ghana Police Service (GPS)," a press release dated December 6 and signed by the Director-General of Public Relations, Brigadier General E.
