The Coalition of Domestic Election Observers (CODEO) has cautioned Ghanaians to be wary of misinformation on election day.
Speaking to the media in Accra on Friday, December 6, 2024, a Co-Chair of CODEO, Elizabeth Joyce Villars, highlighted the increasing spread of misinformation on social media platforms.
According to her, the public must remain vigilant at all times to combat misinformation during this crucial period, both before, during, and after the elections.
Joyce Villars further urged Ghanaians to take proactive measures to prevent the spread of false information among the public. "CODEO calls on the general public to be wary of misinformation and take preventive measures to stem the spread of false information," she said.
