In a deeply moving act of kindness,, the Vice Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has stepped in to help a three-year-old boy, Patnam Kantam, who was diagnosed with a life-threatening hole in his heart.

Opoku-Agyemang has generously covered the full cost of the surgery, which will take place at the National Cardiothoracic Centre of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
On December 5, 2024, she donated $7,500 to cover the surgery expenses and an additional GHc5,000 to assist the family during the recovery period.
