The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has condemned pastors who have displayed religious intolerance in the country.
There are reports that some pastors have urged their colleagues to conscientize their congregation against voting for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia because they can't sit aloof and allow a Muslim to lead the country.
The decision by the Pastors to display such religious intolerance has brought about division among the clergy, some of whom support the candidacy of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
The president, who was addressing a charged crowd, said, "A pastor has said that Christians should not vote for Bawumia because he is a Muslim.
