We, a group of troubled lecturers from the University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale, write to you as citizens deeply concerned by the current state of affairs in our beloved country, Ghana.
After careful and critical reflection on the challenges confronting our nation and the direction in which we are headed, we have resolved to publicly declare our support for John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming December 7 elections.
While we acknowledge that the views expressed in this letter do not represent the official position of the entire academic community at UDS, they are perspectives widely shared by a significant number of our colleagues, as gathered through informal discussions and deliberations.
We feel a moral obligation to speak out, guided by our commitment to the principles of justice, accountability, and the collective progress of our nation.
