David Asante, Managing Director of the Ghana Publishing Company Limited, has emphasised the critical role of the Electoral Commission (EC) in maintaining trust and transparency during the December 2024 elections.
He stated that while the Electoral Commission and its commissioners cannot rig the elections, their conduct must inspire confidence among stakeholders.
Speaking on the Point Blank segment on Eyewitness News on Wednesday, December 4, Mr.
Asante highlighted the importance of the EC's conduct in ensuring credibility and avoiding perceptions of bias. "The Electoral Commission and the commissioner cannot rig the election, but the conduct of the commissioners must instil confidence and hope in the players.
