President has described Phase 2 of the Tema Motorway project as a game-changer aimed at eliminating the traffic congestion and gridlock frequently encountered by motorists along the stretch.

Addressing Ghanaians at the commissioning ceremony in Accra on December 2, 2024, Akufo-Addo stated that the project, which marks a defining moment for the country's road infrastructure, will primarily enhance the flow of traffic to and from the Tema Harbor, the country's largest seaport.

He also pointed out how the road project will stimulate economic activities across the ECOWAS regions. "The completion of Phase 2 of the Tema Motorway interchange is a defining moment in Ghana's infrastructure narrative.

This project is here to enhance traffic flow to and from our nation's largest seaport, the Tema Harbor, by reducing delays and eliminating gridlock.
