A senior statesman and founding member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has urged the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Jean Mensa, and her team to conduct the elections with the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and impartiality.

His appeal comes at a time when the stakes are high for Ghana's democratic journey, which has been lauded as a beacon of stability across the African continent.

Addressing the upcoming polls in a press statement titled, 'Safeguarding Ghana's Peace: A Call to the Electoral Commission and National Stakeholders,' Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe emphasised that the responsibility of the Electoral Commission extends beyond merely organising elections. "To the Electoral Commission of Ghana and its leadership, particularly Madam Jean Mensah, I issue this clarion call: history stands as a testament to the critical role of the Electoral Commission in maintaining the sanctity of our democracy. "You are not the first to hold this esteemed office, and you will not be the last.

The legacy of this institution has always been one of fairness, transparency, and impartiality.
