Renowned cardiothoracic surgeon and former Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, has called on Ghanaians to join forces to reshape the perception of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH).
Speaking via Zoom on November 29, 2024, during the launch of KBTH's Legacy Project fundraising and Heroes Awards Night, Prof.
Frimpong-Boateng emphasized the need to reimagine the hospital's image from one serving the underprivileged to a premier healthcare institution for all. "Korle-Bu is still the best medical institution in this country.
We should come together and change the image of Korle-Bu being a place for poor people to a centre that provides excellent care for everybody," he stated, commending the hospital's staff and management for their continued dedication.
