The special voting exercise for the 2024 general elections commenced today, December 2, across the country, with the Ablekuma Central constituency actively taking part in the process.

By 6:20 a.m., officials from the Electoral Commission (EC) had arrived, and a significant number of eligible voters were already seated and standing in line, ready to cast their votes.

The EC began setting up at 6:33 a.m., and by 6:48 a.m., the seals on the ballot boxes were broken under public observation.

Inspection of the ballot papers followed promptly at 6:59 a.m., ensuring transparency in the process.   Notable figures at the polling station included Jefferson Sackey, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the constituency, who expressed his hopes for a smooth and peaceful election.
