Four(4) persons have been confirmed dead while Six(6) others are battling varying degrees of injuries after a Mercedes Benz sprinter bus was involved in an accident on the Konongo-Kumasi Highway.
The incident according to MyNewsGh.com's Ashanti Regional Correspondent, occurred at about 11:30 am on Thursday, November 29, 2024.
It is gathered that the vehicle with registration number GE 6461-22 from Accra towards Kumasi with passengers on board on reaching a section of the road at Lady Diana along Juaso - Konongo highway, burst a tyre whilst the vehicle was in motion and in the process he lost control of the steering wheel and rolled over into a ditch on the offside edge of the road.
Occupants on board the vehicle including the suspect driver who has been identified as 52-year-old Okai Forson Kwesi sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Stewards Hospital, Yawkwei for treatment.
