Jakes has expressed gratitude to God for his intervention and keeping him alive.
In a tweet on November 27 soon after he was discharged from the hospital, the motivational speaker and preacher shared a heartfelt message thanking his church members, family members and medical professionals for their care and love during the difficult times.
He said had it not been for God's intervention, the situation would have been dire.
