Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has firmly dismissed calls to refrain from expressing his views on the 2024 general elections, following backlash over his endorsement of NPP flagbearer, Dr.

Mahamudu Bawumia.

Critics, including Movement for Change flagbearer Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, have urged the former president to avoid public endorsements, citing his status as a statesman.

However, speaking at the Ofori Panin Palace on November 27 during a campaign event in Abuakwa South, Mr Kufuor defended his endorsement, reaffirming his belief in Dr Bawumia's leadership and capabilities. "I am facing criticism for voicing my opinions on national matters due to my position as a statesman.
