The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, and the Police Management Board have dedicated today to visiting churches to preach peace before, during, and after the December 7 elections. Addressing the congregation at the Church of Pentecost in Accra New Town, the IGP entreated the church to continue praying for peace but emphasised that their prayers should be backed with action.
He called on everyone to assist the police in enhancing security, law, and order to make the 2024 general election the most peaceful in the history of Ghana. "We should remember that prayer alone will not bring the miracle… Prayer requires action, and it is only when prayer and action in relation to the prayer is in place that prayer is answered. "…Now that we pray, we should allow ourselves as vessels that God will use to bring peace, security, law, and order during this election period and beyond… Continue to pray for us… Also make sure you don't become a source of disturbances to this country…The people around you encourage them not to be used to cause disturbances," he stated. #GhanaPolls2024 #ElectionBureau #CitiVerify
