Traditional leaders of Bortianor have asked the MP for the area, Sylvester Tetteh, to halt any demolition of structures on the GBC land in the area.  A letter signed by Nii Ogbarmey Ankonam, the Bortianor Mantse asked "all ongoing demolitions or developmental works be halted and the proper channels" to be adhered.

According to him, the Traditional Council has not been informed of any such plans. "It has come to my attention that a demolition exercise is being carried at the Broadcasting Quarters at Dunkonah, Bortianor, which I understand is spearheaded by you Honourable Slyvester Tetteh with the support of the Ga South Municipal Assembly.

As the chief of Bortianor and allodial owner of all Bortianor Lands, I have not been consulted, neither has the Chief of Dunkonah Nii Tetteh Djormor I, been consulted or briefed on my infrastructural development which has necessitated this demolition exercise," Nii Ankonam wrote.

The MP argues that the demolished structures were not operational and accused GBC staff of renting them out to some members of the public and receiving the proceeds.
