Sylvester Tetteh, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfro and Deputy Minister for Information says he will probe the allocation of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) lands to private individuals in the Akwasa area where a demolition took place.
Speaking after information about him demolishing a structure belonging to the GBC went viral, he said administrative lapses on the part of the nation's broadcaster were to blame for the bad press.
Tetteh said that there is an agreement between the GA South Municipal Assembly and GBC to use the said parcel of land for a public school, hence the demolition of the structure, which he says was done by the Assembly.
He also challenged the GBC Director of Legal Affairs to bring proof of him demolishing a different parcel of land instead of the one allocated to him. "As a sector deputy minister, and my boss will approve that, I will institute investigations into how GBC lands have ended up building private homes here where we are standing.
