The Agbogbomefia of Asogli, Togbe Afede XIV, at the 2024 Asogli Te Za Grand Durbar in Ho recently expressed his concern about developments in our country as a result of extreme partisanship in our body-politic.
The respected traditional ruler's concern centred around growing tribalism, extreme political partisanship and rising lawlessness in the country.
Togbe Afede XIV opines that because those at the helm of affairs have no respect for the truth, lawlessness and over-politicisation of the nation's economic and social life have become fertile ground for greed and corruption - a situation he describes as the "biggest obstacle to our development".
He added that: "While other leaders are focused on development, ours have been focusing on property ownership.
