The Black Stars Management Committee has been dissolved following a meeting of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council on Wednesday, November 20, Channel One News has confirmed.
The decision comes in the aftermath of Ghana's dismal 2025 AFCON qualification campaign, where the Senior National Men's Football Team finished bottom of Group F and failed to qualify for the tournament for the first time in 20 years.
Angola and Sudan secured qualification from the group, with former Black Stars coach James Kwasi Appiah leading Sudan to their second AFCON appearance since 2012.
In a press statement issued after the meeting, the GFA Executive Council announced the dissolution of the Black Stars Management Committee and expressed gratitude to its members. "Immediate dissolution of the Management Committee of the senior national football team, the Black Stars.
