The Central Regional Police Command has expressed its readiness to ensure a peaceful presidential and parliamentary election within the region on December 7, 2024.

Speaking to the press, DCOP Kofi Adu, the Central Regional Police Commander, emphasized that adequate measures have been implemented to safeguard the electoral process, including the secure handling of ballot materials. "The materials for the presidential ballot have arrived safely at the Central Regional Police Headquarters and are under our protection," he assured.

DCOP Adu issued a strong caution to politicians, advising them to avoid deploying "macho men" or vigilante groups to polling stations.

He stressed that securing the ballot is the sole responsibility of the police. "Any politician who brings macho men to the voting centres will face the full force of the law," he stated firmly.
