The (NPP) has accused the (NDC) of orchestrating plans to disrupt the electoral process in the Ashanti Region, ahead of the 2024 election.
Addressing a press conference in Accra, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, the National Organiser of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye, claimed the NDC has been training some thugs in various communities under the pretext of private security initiatives.
He alleged that these individuals are being prepared to undermine the electoral process in what he described as an attempt to destabilise the NPP's stronghold. "Information available to the NPP reveals that several months ago, the NDC has been training thugs in communities, including the Obuasi East constituency, to disturb the electoral process, particularly in the Ashanti Region," he stated.
He warned that any such actions by the opposition party would face fierce resistance from the NPP.
