Celebrated Ghanaian Dancehall and Reggae musician, Stonebwoy, born Livingstone Etse Satekla, has spoken out against what he perceives as a lack of recognition for his groundbreaking accomplishments in the industry.

In a candid interview on 3Music TV, the 'Jejereje' singer proudly reflected on filling the Accra Sports Stadium beyond its 40,000 capacity, drawing over 55,000 fans to his self-funded concert in 2023. "No artiste in my class has ever filled the Accra Sports Stadium like I did," Stonebwoy stated, underscoring the scale of his accomplishment.According to the artist, the entire production of the star-studded 2023 edition of the BHIM Festival, which featured not only his stellar performance but also an array of topnotch guest artists from the Caribbean, was funded solely from his resources, with no sponsorship involved.

He further took the opportunity to highlight his often-overlooked contributions to Ghana's music industry. "Some of us don't like to talk, but it's important to set the record straight.

We've left the stage for others to act like they are leading the industry, but the facts speak for themselves," he said, adding, "I'm speaking from my heart." The multiple award-winning singer and songwriter also expressed his pride in the self-financed production, highlighting the sacrifices made to create such a memorable event.
