Former Deputy General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has reiterated that the decision to build an airport for the Volta Region has never made sense.

He says he at the time was against it because he thought it was a complete waste of the country's scarce resources.

Although he was hated for his position expressed at the time, time has vindicated him because the airport is virtually a white elephant.

In a post via social media, Koku Anyidoho explained that "As a Voltarian and Deputy GS of NDC at the time, I was never enthused about John Mahama's Airport Project for the Region because it was obvious that it would not serve any viable purpose.
