Former Chairman of the National Peace Council, Most Rev Prof Emmanuel Asante has asked Ghanaians not to let ethnic lines dictate their votes as the country prepares for the 2024 elections.
He stated that as the election seasons heat up, politicians often resort to tactics that exploit ethnic divisions to sway voters.
To avert the situation, he said voting should be about choosing the best candidates for the job, regardless of their ethnicity.
Most Rev Prof Emmanuel Asante, who is also a former Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana, said this in an interview on Otec FM's morning show 'Nyansapo', hosted by Captain Koda.
