Commercial road transport service provider VIP Jeoun Company Limited has stepped up efforts to ensure that its vehicles safely and comfortably transport travellers to their destinations.

The new far-reaching safety measures are also to enable the company to fully comply with the requirements and standards of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA).

In a statement issued by Management of the company, the company has put in place some eleven safety measures to ensure safety, especially as the Christmas festivities approach.

Among the measures include ensuring that vehicles and drivers are in the best of conditions, the use of two drivers for journeys that last for at least eight hours, the use of tracking devices to monitor the activities of drivers, the use of inspectors and regular refresher training for drivers. "Management of VIP Jeoun wishes to reiterate its commitment to the safety and security of its passengers and urges all Ghanaians to cooperate with the company for the implementation of these new measures for the good of the public safety on our roads," the statement said.
