With just 22 days remaining until the 2024 election, the running mate of the Convention People's Party (CPP), Wayoe Ghanamannti, has proposed a significant shift in the approach toward cannabis use in the country.

According to him, if the CPP wins the election, individuals found in possession of cannabis will not face imprisonment.

Instead, the party plans to focus on rehabilitation for such individuals.

Speaking during the launch of the CPP's Economic Vision on Thursday, November 14, 2024, themed 'Ghana's Industrial Rebirth - A New Economic Order of Ownership,' Ghanamannti urged Ghanaians to vote for the CPP.
