The Indian High Commissioner in Accra, Mr Shri Manish Gupta, has reaffirmed the country's support for Ghana's transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy, as part of global efforts to combat climate change.
According to him, renewable energy played a crucial role in a country's development and Indian energy production companies were ready to partner Ghanaian companies to boost energy production.
He added that efficient and sustainable energy systems was essential for Ghana's economic growth and prosperity.
Speaking at the opening of the 3rd Power and Energy Ghana Expo and Exhibition in Accra on Wednesday, he expressed the country's commitment to partnering with Ghana in advancing its energy sector, particularly in the areas of sustainable energy solutions and efficiency.
