Communications Director for the Dr Mahamudu Bawumia campaign team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, has admitted that his candidate has acknowledged that the country has challenges with managing the Cedi.
However, he explicitly indicates that Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has proffered solutions to help support the free-falling Cedi if made president of Ghana. "Dr Mahamudu Bawumia goes around and says this is what we have achieved in every sector, but we admit we have challenges in the economic sector.
For example, he says we have challenges in managing our cedi but this is my solution.
I think we need to back our currency with gold and so this is my approach.
