The National Democratic Congress (NDC) caucus has warned Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Effutu Member of Parliament (MP), to prepare for significant resistance should he attempt to recall Parliament.
This warning comes in light of recent tensions surrounding parliamentary proceedings, following the Speaker's declaration of four seats as vacant and the absence of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) MPs in Parliament after a recall on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin on Thursday, November 7, 2024, indefinitely adjourned the House due to the absence of a prepared agenda, following the failure of the Business Committee to meet and set issues for deliberation.
The session, initially triggered by a recall request from the Majority caucus, was anticipated to tackle pressing legislative matters.
