Former President, John Mahama has criticised President Akufo-Addo for what he describes as self-glorification after the President unveiled a statue of himself in the Western Region.

According to him, President Akufo-Addo should demonstrate humility and allow others to praise him for his achievements, rather than seeking personal recognition.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer's comments came after President Akufo-Addo unveiled a statue of himself at the entrance of the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi on Wednesday, November 6, during his one-day "thank you" tour of the Western Region.

The Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah said the monument is intended to honour the development initiatives the President has overseen during his time in office.
