Samuel Koku Anyidoho, Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and now Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Atta Mills Institute has asserted that the 24-hour economy policy by John Mahama will not save the economy.

During a phone interview on Okay FM, Koku Anyidoho stated that the policy of John Mahama is not new and would not be the saviour of the crushed economy.

According to him, some phone applications like the ECG app, water company apps, the DVLA app, passport applications and others are already in existence and in use and has made life convenient for Ghanaians hence introducing the 24-hour economy is useless.

Koku Anyidoho disclosed that some people including himself are not convinced yet about the "24-hour economy" policy. "So let us have specificity so we can buy into the idea of the 24-hour economy because this is just a general mantra.
