A vociferous communicator of the ruling in the Ashanti Region, Esther Nana Agyeman, has publicly downplayed the significance of the controversial 'Agyapadie' document, cautioning the opposition NDC to refrain from dragging into the state capture narrative. Defending Dr. Bawumia, Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Esther Nana Agyeman contended, "If the book is true, it has nothing to do with Dr. Bawumia. His name is mentioned nowhere, nor did he write any part of the document." Esther Agyeman disclosed that she was first introduced to the document in 2015 and was well-acquainted with its contents, which purportedly detailed a strategy to elevate Ofori Panin's status above that of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and to seize control of the party from the Asantes.
