Citi FM/Channel One TV management has handed over a newly constructed market, gender-specific washroom facilities, and a mechanized borehole water system to displaced residents of New Bakpa in the Central Tongu District.
These individuals, affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage by the Volta River Authority last year, continue to face significant challenges in rebuilding their lives.
Funded by donations from Citi FM listeners and Channel One TV viewers, the facilities were completed at a cost of GH₵1.3 million.
Representing Managing Director Samuel Attah-Mensah, Channel One TV's Head of Administration, Mathew Idun, expressed gratitude to the donors for their generosity and encouraged the victims to stay resilient.
