Nsawam-Adoagyiri Member of Parliament (MP) Frank Annoh-Dompreh has rallied New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters to steer clear of the 'skirt and blouse' voting approach in the upcoming elections.
Addressing constituents during the inauguration of a new party office, Annoh-Dompreh stressed the importance of voting in unison for the party's presidential and parliamentary candidates to ensure a clear path to victory. "'Skirt and blouse' voting will only dilute our chances," he cautioned. "We need a united front to secure the victory we've been working towards." The term 'skirt and blouse' has come to signify a voting trend where constituents select a presidential candidate from one party and a parliamentary candidate from another.
Annoh-Dompreh, however, urged NPP loyalists to avoid this split, emphasizing that full support for both the parliamentary and presidential tickets is essential. "We're on the road to success," he encouraged the energized crowd, referencing the recent Victory Walk held as a show of party strength. "Let's keep the momentum and make sure our votes reflect our confidence in both our presidential and parliamentary candidates." Annoh-Dompreh also took the opportunity to spotlight the government's achievements under the NPP, including the widely praised Free Senior High School (SHS) initiative.
He underscored how initiatives like this, along with the promises of further digitalization and development under the leadership of Dr.
