Majority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament(MP) for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, did not hold back as he criticised Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, claiming that Bagbin's tenure would be remembered as "the worst in Ghana's 4th Republic." Speaking passionately during the inauguration of a new party office in his constituency, Annoh-Dompreh pointed to what he described as the Speaker's partiality toward the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a pattern of disregarding Supreme Court rulings. "Bagbin's favoritism towards the NDC and his reluctance to respect the decisions of our highest court are unprecedented," Annoh-Dompreh declared. "This is what will define his legacy, and sadly, it's not one that will be looked upon favorably." Annoh-Dompreh underscored that while the New Patriotic Party (NPP) acknowledges Bagbin's position, they won't be cowed by his conduct or any tactics from the NDC. "We have a tough skin," he stated confidently, "and while we respect the Speaker's office, we won't be intimidated by actions that compromise parliamentary integrity or favor one side." The Victory Walk and the office inauguration event served as an energizing moment for NPP supporters, who cheered on Annoh-Dompreh as he urged them to remain resolute ahead of the elections.
He encouraged the crowd to back the NPP firmly, underscoring the party's resilience and its commitment to preserving the democratic standards that Ghana's Parliament upholds.
