The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has voiced the party's reservations about signing a peace pact ahead of Ghana's 2024 general elections.

According to him, the party will officially write to the National Peace Council to include other key institutions, which will make the accord firm and binding.

The NDC had rejected appeals by the Peace Council to sign a Peace Pact ahead of the December elections.

The National Chairman of the party Johnson Asiedu Nketia reiterated the party's unwillingness to sign any peace pact if recommendations from the committee set up to investigate the 2020 electoral violence are not implemented.
