Obeng Jr.'s goal came in the 28th minute after Kotoko goalkeeper Mohamed Camara misplayed a clearance, allowing the striker to tap into an open net.

Kotoko's loss saw them drop to third place, while Lions climb to seventh.Elsewhere, Bibiani GoldStars held onto the top spot despite a goalless draw against 10-man Dreams FC.
