Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, has criticized his party's flagbearer, John Mahama, for using disrespectful language towards the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr.

Mahamudu Bawumia.

Former President Mahama has faced widespread criticism from some members of the public, who argue that his recent political exchanges have been overly confrontational.

The backlash followed Mahama's response to Vice President Bawumia, whom he accused of "running away from the economy." Citing a famous line from Bill Clinton's campaign, Mahama remarked, "It's about the economy, stupid!" This retort came after Bawumia posed 50 questions to Mahama, responding to Mahama's initial five questions on the state of the economy.
