The Atwima Nwabiagya South Constituency First Vice Chairman of the (NPP), John Kwame Duodu, has condemned in no uncertain terms former President John Mahama's recent comments directed at the (NPP) and Dr.

Mahamudu Bawumia, using unprintable words for the sitting Vice President.

Duodu opined that former President Mahama's choice of words is distasteful, arguing that such insults have no place in the ongoing political discourse, especially as we inch closer to the 2024 presidential election. "I least expected such unpalatable statements from the former President and NDC flag bearer considering his stature in Ghanaian politics vis-a-vis the many calls by well-meaning Ghanaians and civil society organizations for issue-based campaigns devoid of such negative tendencies that have the potential to mar the calm political atmosphere," he stated. "But I am not much surprised because former President Mahama has consistently displayed his fear of facing off with Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in a debate," Duodu added.

John Kwame Duodu, also known as Sir John, urged former President Mahama to prioritize addressing important economic issues over introducing personal attacks ahead of the crucial 2024 elections, which he believes the NPP is undoubtedly winning.
