Ruben Amorim has been confirmed as the new head coach of Manchester United.The 39-year-old Portuguese manager will officially join the club on November 11, leaving his current role with Sporting Lisbon.Amorim has signed a contract that will keep him at Old Trafford until June 2027.United's former striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy, stepped in as interim manager following Erik ten Hag's departure earlier in the week.Van Nistelrooy will continue to lead the team for the next three matches as the club transitions to Amorim's tenure."Ruben is one of the most exciting and highly rated young coaches in European football," the club stated on Friday.Amorim becomes the sixth permanent manager to take the helm since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013, as United continues to search for a lasting solution in its managerial lineup.
