The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Augustus Andrews Nana Kwasi has said the NDC would protect the ballot during the general elections.Addressing a rally at Obuasi on Wednesday, he said the party has a robust plan to protect its votes in the 2024 elections. He, therefore, appealed to the NDC members and supporters to turn up in their numbers on election day and vote massively for NDC presidential candidate Mr John Dramani Mahama and the party's parliamentary candidates.Commenting on abandoned development projects in the region, Nana Kwasi said "the next NDC government will collaborate with traditional authorities to promote development in the region."He said women empowerment is also very high on the agenda of the next NDC administration.

Nana Kwasi added that" the lofty development plan of the NDC for the Ashanti Region can only come to fruition when the people in the region vote for the party."He therefore urged the electorate to vote massively for Mr Mahama to enable him to "reset the country, create jobs for the youth and empower women financially through the establishment of a Women's Development Bank."Read also:NAPO appeals to Sefwi Bodi residents to vote for BawumiaBy Benjamin Aidoo
