The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) has officially suspended its strike following a unanimous decision by members nationwide.
The suspension takes effect immediately, as stated in a UTAG announcement released on October 29, 2024, and signed by National President Prof.
Mamudu Akudugu.
The statement noted, "The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) wishes to inform the public that, effective immediately, we have decided to suspend our strike action addressing the urgent crisis of illegal mining, or galamsey.
