The Public Services Workers' Union (PSWU) has announced a suspension of its strike following a directive from the National Labour Commission (NLC) aimed at resolving a labor dispute involving public sector salary concerns.
This move comes after a mediation meeting between the PSWU, the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), and the NLC.
In a statement issued on Friday, October 25, 2024, the PSWU confirmed that its members on the Single Spine Salary Structure would resume work on Monday, October 28, 2024.
The PSWU stressed that the decision to pause the strike is part of an effort to achieve a mutually beneficial resolution on outstanding issues with the government.
