A DAF trailer truck has run over a motor rider killing him on the spot at Arena near the Gbese Court in the Greater Accra Region.
The incident MyNewsGh.com gathered, occurred at about 9 am on Sunday, October 20, 2024, after police discovered the deceased in his late 20s trapped under the truck.
Information gathered at the scene indicated that the victim was in charge of an unregistered motorbike riding alongside the trailer with registration number GR 6528-24 but suddenly lost control of the motorbike and entered under the trailer Due to the impact, the body of the victim was mutilated and was picked in pieces into a body bag, conveyed and deposited at the Police Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy. The accident vehicle and the motorbike were towed to the station and impounded to assist investigations. Meanwhile, the suspect driver Awudu Latif has since been detained in police custody.
